To create the ACR track weapon, Dodge dumped a bucket of go-fast chassis and aerodynamic bits on the Viper. Six-piston carbon ceramic brakes slough off the prodigious speed provided by the 8.4-liter V-10, which pushes out 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. Extremely sticky Kumho tires might as well have an R-compound rating, pairing well with the upgraded adjustable suspension. An extreme aerodynamic package produces 1,101 lb of downforce at 150 mph, and 1,533 pounds of downforce at the ACR’s top speed of 177 mph.

The ACR isn’t a beginner’s tool, so Dodge enlisted the help of SCCA champion and Viper veteran Chris Winkler to smash the records on eleven of the thirteen tracks. Motor Trend hot shoe and pro racer Randy Pobst set the Laguna Seca lap, and pro racer Tommy Kendall cracked the record at Texas MotorSport Ranch.
