One of the stars of this week was the 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus. We’ve now spent considerable time with the second-generation Audi supercar. For our latest drive we took to North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia and then ended the trip with some time spent at the Daytona International Speedway where we could fully unleash the car’s 610 horsepower.
This sleek concept car is the LeSee electric sedan from China’s LeEco. Don’t be surprised if a car like it enters production in the near future as LeEco is the Chinese tech giant backing American electric car startup Faraday Future and working with Aston Martin on the upcoming RapidE electric super sedan.
Teaser for Volkswagen SUV concept debuting at 2016 Beijing Auto Show
We haven’t seen the new Touareg yet but Volkswagen will present a concept at the upcoming 2016 Beijing Auto Show that previous the vehicle. The new Touareg has already been spotted in test mule form and is expected on the market next year as a 2018 model.
One of the cars we drove recently was the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC. It’s an updated version of the SLK but it sports a new look and interior as well as a new SLC43 variant developed by Mercedes-AMG. We found it to be a responsive, livable roadster that almost felt like a full-fledged sports car.
Italy’s Mazzanti used this past week’s 2016 Top Marques Monaco to unveil an updated version of its 751-horsepower Evantra supercar. The updated model features some aerodynamic enhancements and marks 10 years since the unveiling of Mazzanti’s first model, which also took place in Monaco.
Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] confirmed this week it will start selling its F-150 Raptor in China from 2017. The automaker also revealed a new version of the F-150 designed for police duty.
There’s actually a convertible version of the Porsche 959 in existence. It’s not a factory creation but a custom project devised after an original coupe model was damaged in an accident. It’s currently up for sale in Italy.

One of the cars we spied this week was BMW’s next-generation X3, and this time we also have video footage. The new X3 will be the first SUV to ride on BMW’s carbon fiber-infused modular platform that debuted in the 2016 7-Series. Shortly after the X3 arrives we’ll see a new X5 and eventually an X7.
