2017 Buick LaCrosse Teaser Shows Sleeker Silhouette

We’ve already had one early glimpse at the redesigned 2017 Buick LaCrosse, and now we have another teaser photo that shows the car’s silhouette. The new sedan, which is said to take design cues from the Buick Avenir concept, will make its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles auto show next month.

The most prominent feature of the new LaCrosse’s profile is the traditional Buick “sweepspear” character line that rises along the rear door as it tapers into the rear decklid. We can also see some front fender vents, LED accent lights in the headlights, and a sleeker greenhouse that leads into a sharply raked rear window.

2017 Buick LaCrosse Teaser

A previous teaser photo showed off the LaCrosse’s front grille, which has a large horizontal chrome strip that blends into the top of the headlights. This grille design is said to propagate across the Buick lineup by 2018, along with the new tri-color, three-shield Buick badge.

Expect the new 2017 Buick LaCrosse (pictured below in spy photos) to be lower and longer than its predecessor for a more luxurious look. It will ride on an updated version of its Epsilon chassis, meaning it will remain a front- or all-wheel-drive car. The LaCrosse will likely use GM’s new 3.6-liter V-6 from the Cadillac ATS and CTS, though a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder may be offered as well for better fuel economy.

Stay tuned for more details to come on the 2017 Buick LaCrosse as we near its official L.A. auto show debut in a few weeks.
