Although our spy photographers tried to get an early look at the new crossover, Cadillac has now revealed the look of the 2017 XT5. Designed to replace the SRX, the 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be fully revealed in November, first at the Dubai auto show and subsequently on our shores at the Los Angeles auto show.

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 is a smart compact crossover with design cues from the rest of the luxury brand’s range. LED running lights extend down from the far edges of the headlights in a line that’s picked up at the bottom of the front fascia. A large chrome-trimmed grille dominates the crossover’s nose, with Cadillac’s crest centered within the expansive pentagonal shape. A character line running from the front doors to the taillights breaks up the sides of the XT5, while the liftgate is adorned with chrome trim strips and two chrome exhaust tips.
When the 2017 Cadillac XT5 is revealed in Dubai, fashion designers Public School will also introduce a special clothing collection inspired by the XT5. In a short teaser video (below), designers are seen selecting leather and wood trim pieces that may signal the types of materials that will be offered in the XT5. Cadillac is partnering with Public School to continue “Cadillac’s engagement with the fashion community,” the automaker said.

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be built at General Motors’ Spring Hill, Tennessee, factory which formerly built Saturn vehicles. The XT5 will most likely make use of Cadillac’s existing 2.0-liter turbo-four and 3.6-liter V-6 engines, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive optional.
Stay tuned for more details when the 2017 Cadillac XT5 makes its official debut in November.
