Porsche’s new 911 GT3 RS is one of the most desirable cars on the planet right now.
Unfortunately for one Porsche dealership in Amsterdam, a mechanic drove a Gulf Racing-livered example off a ledge and into the surrounding waterway.

Fortunately it wasn’t a major fall, as this photo from RS Porsche Magazine reveals.
The dealership in question is Porsche Centrum Amsterdam, and its owner Hans van der Valk told local publication Autovisie that the mechanic simply made a mistake and that any damage will quickly be repaired.
CHECK OUT: Here’s how you double clutch
The GT3 RS is an even more extreme version of the already hardcore 911 GT3. It boasts a unique 4.0-liter engine rated at 500 horsepower and 338 pound-feet of torque, as well as 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This one misses out on all-wheel drive but there is a rear-wheel-steering system to help with the handling.
The starting price is $176,895, including destination, though due to limited supplies you’d be hard pressed to find one for that sum. It’s a good thing then that this one will be back on the road soon.
