Rolls-Royce 103EX concept, Ford GT at Le Mans, 2017 Volvo S90: This Week’s Top Photos

This week fellow BMW Group subsidiaries Rolls-Royce and Mini unveiled their own Vision Next 100 concepts to celebrate the centennial of their German parent. Rolls-Royce’s concept, code-named the 103EX, was this impressive coupe that boasts an electric drivetrain, autonomous capability and a virtual assistant full of British charm.

Mini’s Vision Next 100 concept is this urban runabout that also boasts autonomous capability but still comes with a steering wheel to let its owner take over and enjoy the drive. That owner by the way is everyone, because in the future Mini sees its cars being shared by a community rather than owned by an individual.

By the time you read this, four Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] GTs will be racing around the Circuit de la Sarthe in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Blue Oval supercar dominated the qualifying session for its GTE Pro class, securing first, second, fourth and fifth on the grid.

We’ve just driven Jaguar’s 200-mph F-Type SVR. It’s frighteningly loud and fast but also supple when it needs to  be, which is exactly what you want your Jaguar to be. We’ve also listed eight reasons that make the SVR model so special.

More vehicles we drove this week are Volvo’s S90 and V90. The Swedish automaker is going after the German mid-size luxury sedans and wagons with its new duo. They’re genuinely stylish, different, and rather enchanting. The S90 arrives this year as a 2017 model while the V90 arrives next year as a 2018 model.

Another vehicle we spied is a new coupe-like model from Land Rover. The vehicle is believed to be based on the same platform as the Jaguar F-Pace and destined to be called a Range Rover Sport Coupe. It will target the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.

The most powerful car to ever come out of Italy, the 1,000-horsepower Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli, made its world debut last week. We have a collection of photos from the debut that capture the steed in all its glory. Sadly, just 25 examples are destined for production.
