As you might guess, Jeremy Clarkson drives a ton of different vehicles. We imagine he’s swapping keys so often it’s hard to keep track of what’s in and out of his driveway. That doesn’t mean that certain cars don’t stand out. Quite the opposite really. When you drive so many different machines, the great ones out against a sea of mediocre to simply good cars.
To that end, Clarkson has compiled a list of his top ten drives of recent memory. Here’s how it shakes out:
- Mazda Miata MX-5 Sport
- Alfa Romeo 4C
- Mercedes-AMG GT S
- Ford Focus RS
- Ford Mustang GT
- Volvo XC90
- Vauxhall Zafira Tourer
- BMW M2
- Ferrari 488 GTB
- Lamborghini Aventador
It’s a solid list except I can’t comment directly on the Vauxhall as that’s a bit of forbidden fruit on these shores. The rest, however, make for fun times. It’s nice to see cars included that range from the affordable to the unobtainable, as well as from supercar to superb SUV. Heck, a couple of American cars even make this Englishman’s list.
Head on over to Clarkson’s column for the full lowdown on why he picked each vehicle. There you’ll also find links to a full story on each car.
