As on all models of the Sierra 1500, the 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition wears a new front fascia with LED running lights and HID headlights. The Elevation Edition, offered only on double-cab trucks, adds 20-inch black wheels, as well as body-colored bumpers, door handles, mirror caps, moldings, and grille. GMC calls it a “street-smart stance” for the truck. As on other versions of the 2016 GMC Sierra, the interior now features a 7-inch infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Elevation Edition also comes standard with black-painted tow hooks, heated mirrors, a remote-lockable tailgate, a six-speaker sound system, and a 110-volt power outlet. General Motors’ 8-speed automatic transmission becomes available on the truck’s 5.3-liter V-8 engine; it was previously offered only with the 6.2-liter mill.

Expect more details on the 2016 GMC Sierra, including pricing and fuel-economy figures, in the coming months. The outgoing Sierra Elevation Edition started at $34,865.
