Ram Reveals 3 Mopar-ized Concepts for SEMA

Mopar always makes a big splash at SEMA, and this year it came ready with unique concept versions of the Ram Rebel pickup, ProMaster City van, and ProMaster cargo van. Joining special-edition performance cars like the Dodge Challenger GT AWD, Charger Deep Stage 3, and Dart GLH concept, these three Mopar-ized Rams are fully loaded with style and utility upgrades you won’t want to skip seeing as SEMA.

Ram Rebel X

The Ram 1500 Rebel is already a tough-looking pickup with reasonable off-road chops, but the suite of Mopar gear on the Rebel X is a lot more extensive that what you get from the factory. Don’t worry, the trademark grille, hood scoops, and giant rear tailgate lettering are intact.

On the outside you’ll first notice the sharp Copper paint, which bears Matte Black graphics with Mopar Blue tracing over the hood and lower section of the doors and bed. Mopar wheel flares spread over beedy 35-inch Toyo tires and 17-inch beadlock wheels complete with Mopar center caps. Never too much Mopar, it seems. There’s a concept two-piece skidplate up front, as well as black side steps, and a soft tri-fold tonneau cover to keep all your gear safe, sound, and dry. Prototype Katzkin leather seats with embroidered Rebel X lettering stand out in the interior, which features a matching combination of Mopar Blue detailing and Copper stitching.

The familiar 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 remains under the hood, but not without some extra Mopar goodies to eke out more muscle. A cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust, exhaust tips, and active air duct are included, while the Rebel X also gains a concept air-ride suspension to keep things tidy off-road.

Ram ProMaster DragMaster

Ram ProMaster DragMaster Side Profile

There’s no point having a high-octane drag racer if you don’t have the right equipment and support vehicle to get it to the strip, not to mention prep and maintain it on site. That’s why Mopar is featuring some of its comprehensive cargo-van accessories on the Ram ProMaster DragMaster, a concept utility van purpose-built to keep your Mopar dragster in top form.

Unsurprisingly the DragMaster is decked out in Mopar logos and graphics, matching the Dodge Challenger Drag Pak it’s towing along. Concept 16-inch wheels help freshen the look, but for practical reasons you’ll be more interested in the DragMaster’s hitch receiver, trailer tow wiring harness, side step, and fog lights. Inside is an even larger dose of utility, thanks to a higher headliner, custom shelving, custom floor covering, LED lighting, and all-weather floor mats. If you get smoked at the strip, it won’t be because you came unprepared.

Ram ProMaster City DiveMaster

Just to show how versatile Ram thinks the ProMaster city is, this scuba-themed Mopar concept is hitting SEMA this year. A gradient blue paint scheme gives off an aquatic vibe, complete with 17-inch concept wheels, a Matte Black hood and classic striped “diver down” deals for the mirror caps.

Inside is a boatful of scuba gear including oxygen tanks, straps, flippers, and a wetsuit, all cleverly organized using Mopar racks, shelving, and rear-door storage. A TV screen is mounted to the left rear door, as well. The interior trim for the seating areas in the first and second row jive with the exterior scheme, boasting Mopar Blue inserts for the leather seats along with matching stitching.
